SiriusXM's SureConnect system is a fast and convenient method of getting audio from your SiriusXM radio to pipe through your vehicle's FM tuner. Ideal for use with rentals or if you're simply seeking an easier installation, SureConnect's compact wiring and FM transmission system means you don't need any special tools or training. Best of all, you don't have to remove the vehicle's radio or have unsightly dangling cords from a cassette adapter or other dongle.
Slide the coupler down the mast all the way to the base. Slip the protective cover down the mast and over the coupler.
Secure excess SureConnect cabling to the antenna mast using the supplied cable wrap.
Tuck the wire under a section of external vehicle weatherstripping at its lowest point. This step minimizes moisture intrusion.
Locate an entry point on the vehicle from the outside, away from hinges or other pinch points that might potentially damage the SureConnect wire.
Route the dock connector under the dash towards the XM radio dock. Alternately, tuck the thin wire under a door sill with your fingers to keep it away from foot traffic.
Plug the SureConnect plug into the docking station's matching port.
Locate the embedded external antenna from the inside of the vehicle. Ensure you are not looking at the defroster strips. Consult your vehicle's manual if you are not sure.
Clean a tennis-ball sized section along the glass and antenna using the supplied alcohol wipe.
Align the arrows on the SureClip mounting bracket to they are centered with the antenna. Peel off the adhesive backing and press the bracket in place for approximately 15 seconds.
Slide the SureConnect antenna module into the mounting clip. Slip the thin SureConnect cable under existing trim inside the vehicle, away from pinch points and foot traffic.
Plug the SureConnect's plug into the SiriusXM radio's matching dock connector.
