Verizon Wireless customers can quickly view text message information online. A "My Verizon" feature allows you to review the dates and times of messages. The contents of all received messages are not automatically displayed on this site. However, as a Verizon customer you can view responses to text conversations that you have initiated. You can also send replies directly from the website, without the need to use your mobile phone.
View Text Status
Access the Verizon Wireless website (link in Resources). Enter the cell-phone number and password associated with your Verizon account, and then click "Sign In." Click "Register" if you haven't yet created a Verizon password, and follow onscreen instructions to create one.
Select "Text Messaging" from the Verizon Wireless menu. Click "Text Status." View the list of text messages you sent recently. Press the "More" button to load and view older messages.
Look at the "Reply" column to see responses to messages you sent. Click the message text to reveal the full details of the text message. Select the "Your Response" box if you wish to send a reply. Enter a message and click "Send."
Press the "Update Status" button if you wish to refresh the list. New responses from text-message recipients appear on the page.
View Text History
Load the Verizon Wireless website, and log in using a valid username and password. The My Verizon Home page is shown.
Click the wireless number associated with the account you wish to view, if multiple Verizon lines exist. Select "Text Usage" and click "View Usage."
Review the list of text messages you sent or received. The actual message contents are not displayed, but date and time information is shown.
- Only replies to messages that you sent are shown on the Verizon website. Incoming text messages sent to your phone can be viewed online only after you've replied.
