by David Lipscomb Google

Online security is extremely important and becoming even more so daily. For this reason, many choose to update or change email accounts and passwords. If you change the password linked to an email address from your PC, you need to update your iPhone accordingly. Making this change directly through your iPhone is a fast and simple way of informing your iPhone's Mail app of this important account change, without requiring access to a computer.

    Step 1

Tap the "Settings" icon on your iPhone. Tap "Mail, Contacts, Calendars."

    Step 2

Select the email account you wish to modify. Tap on the corresponding button.

    Step 3

Tap the "Account" button. Tap on the "Password" option.

    Step 4

Delete your old password and enter the new one using the pop-up keyboard. Tap "Done" when complete. Wait for your account to update. A pop-up informs you if your entered password does not correspond with the one you assigned to your email account.
