How to Adjust the Alignment on a Samsung DLP

by C. Taylor

The Auto Adjust function of your Samsung DLP automatically adjusts the settings of a video source and aligns its picture. However, sometimes manual adjustments are required, such as when using DVI-Digital mode, which is incompatible with the Auto Adjust function. After you've adjusted the video source's Coarse and Fine settings from the Screen Menu, you might need to realign the picture, so it is centered on the screen.

    Step 1

Press the "Source" button on your Samsung remote control repeatedly until the proper source appears and then press "Enter" to accept the source.

    Step 2

Press the "Menu" button and select "Picture," "Screen" and then "Position." Use the arrow keys to highlight an option and press "Enter" to select it.

    Step 3

Press the "Up" or "Down" arrow keys to adjust the vertical alignment.

    Step 4

Press the "Left" or "Right" arrow keys to adjust the horizontal alignment.

    Step 5

Press "Enter" and then "Exit" to accept your changes.

    • Some Samsung remotes include a "P.Size" button that brings up a selectable menu for adjusting vertical and horizontal alignment and screen size.
    • To reset the video settings to default values, select "Menu | Picture | Screen | Image Reset | Enter." Press "Exit" to exit the menu after resetting the display.
